Alex Prud'homme is a New York Times Best-selling author who recently wrote The Ripple Effect: The Fate of Fresh Water in the 21st Century.  Shenandoah Riverkeeper Jeff Kelble is highlighted in chapter 7. Alex had this to say about the importance of our work…

Alex Prud'homme with Dr. Robert Hirsch and Dr. Vicki Blazer from USGS“…When I was researching my book about the state of fresh water in our country, I had the good fortune of joining Shenandoah Riverkeeper Jeff Kelble out on the water. His boots-on-the ground look at the pollution threats facing his watershed, which feed inevitably into the larger issues affecting the Chesapeake Watershed, reminded me that protecting our water supplies starts at the local level. Groups like Potomac and Shenandoah Riverkeeper are a critical part in ensuring not only healthy rivers for play and sport but also for safe drinking water. I urge anyone concerned about the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, or for that matter, the Chesapeake Bay, to support Potomac Riverkeeper. This will continue to ensure that there is an independent voice for your river.”
